First, I will present my work on 1.55 \u00b5m Brillouin<br>fiber lasers, followed by my work on lasers emitting in the near-ultraviolet<br>and visible ranges based on the use of gallium nitride laser diodes<br>subjected to optical feedback. A section on the frequency stabilization of<br>these sources on frequency references will also be discussed.
