{"id":720,"date":"2023-09-13T14:58:55","date_gmt":"2023-09-13T12:58:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.institut-foton.eu\/?p=720"},"modified":"2026-01-28T10:05:59","modified_gmt":"2026-01-28T09:05:59","slug":"materiaux-et-dispositifs-photoniques-iii-v-si","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.institut-foton.eu\/en\/materiaux-et-dispositifs-photoniques-iii-v-si\/","title":{"rendered":"III-V\/Si Materials and photonic devices"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Correspondant: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.institut-foton.eu\/leger-yoan\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"3628\">Yoan LEGER<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La th\u00e9matique de recherche \u00ab Mat\u00e9riaux et dispositifs photoniques III-V\/Si \u00bb s\u2019inscrit dans l&#8217;axe &#8220;Photonique hyperfr\u00e9quence et THz \u2212 Communications optiques&#8221; de l\u2019Institut FOTON.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le d\u00e9veloppement de fili\u00e8res de semiconducteurs III-V \u00e9pitaxi\u00e9s sur substrat de silicium pr\u00e9sente un int\u00e9r\u00eat majeur dans plusieurs secteurs de recherche, de la photonique int\u00e9gr\u00e9e (lasers, composants non-lin\u00e9aires) au photovolta\u00efque, en premier lieu pour des raisons de r\u00e9duction des co\u00fbts de production (le co\u00fbt d&#8217;un substrat de Si peut \u00eatre jusque 200 fois plus faible que celui d&#8217;un substrat III-V) et de scalabilit\u00e9 des proc\u00e9d\u00e9s de fabrication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aujourd&#8217;hui encore, la physique de la croissance de semiconducteurs III-V sur silicium n&#8217;est pas maitris\u00e9e pour de nombreux compos\u00e9s III-V. Depuis plusieurs ann\u00e9es, le d\u00e9partement OHM a d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 un savoir-faire reconnu dans la <strong>croissance par \u00e9pitaxie par jet mol\u00e9culaire de binaires (GaP, GaAs) et ternaires (InGaP, GaPSb) III-V sur silicium<\/strong>,&nbsp; et une compr\u00e9hension pouss\u00e9e des propri\u00e9t\u00e9s optiques et \u00e9lectroniques de ces mat\u00e9riaux (principalement li\u00e9es \u00e0 l&#8217;inversion de polarit\u00e9 cristalline locale observ\u00e9e dans les couches III-V\/Si).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ces fili\u00e8res offrent en outre des avantages sp\u00e9cifiques pour le d\u00e9veloppement d&#8217;applications cibles de l&#8217;institut FOTON :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list puce1\">\n<li>La s\u00e9lectivit\u00e9 chimique entre III-V et Si est un atout majeur dans le d\u00e9veloppement de <strong>plateformes photoniques dite &#8220;sur-isolant&#8221;<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>L&#8217;inversion de polarit\u00e9 cristalline au sein des couches \u00e9pitaxi\u00e9es de III-V\/Si ouvre de nouvelles voies d&#8217;exploration en <strong>photonique non-lin\u00e9aire<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Des propri\u00e9t\u00e9s de transport s\u00e9lectif observ\u00e9es au niveau des parois entre domaines de polarit\u00e9 cristalline oppos\u00e9s pourraient b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier aux dispositifs de <strong>conversion d&#8217;\u00e9nergie
